Al-Zou’bi: Syria is Fighting Battle of the Entire Civilized World against Terrorism
DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Information Minister Omran Zou’bi stressed that Syria ‘s current battle against armed terrorist groups is but the battle of the entire civilized world against terrorism.
Al-Zou’bi added during a meeting with an Australia solidarity delegation yesterday that , “the war that Syria is exposed to is the most dangerous war in the world in modern times.”
The Minister asserted that the Syrian government will participate in the international conference on Syria, ” Geneva 2 ” unconditionally and that what is important is the conference to conclude decisions necessitate the participation of everyone to confront terrorism .
He considered Saudi Arabia as directly responsible for international terrorism, as for September 11th bombings in the United States and in Chechnya and Afghanistan, pointing out that Saudi Arabia facilitates the movement of thousands of terrorists Syria through Turkey or Jordan .
The Minister indicated the involvement of terrorists from 83 nationalities , including Australians in the war on Syria , pointing out that one Australian terrorist was responsible for the kidnapping of 106 people from northern Lattakia ‘s countryside and that the Australian government knows that but did not make move a on that , and the man is currently moving freely in Europe
Al-Zou’bi said that the largest number of victims of the war on Syria are members of the Syrian army and civilians not, as claimed that the Syrian army targets civilians .
He pointed out that none of the Western countries, nor the UN regretted the massacre committed by terrorist groups against civilians in the city of Adra , including beheadings and throwing children in furnaces , stressing that what is happening in Syria is different from what is being said by certain media.
Al-Zou’bi explained that the Syrian media cadres and facilities were exposed to attacks and Syrian satellites channels were stopped in order to prevent the Syrian view points access to the world .
For their part, members of the delegation stressed that lot of Australian people views about what is happening in Syria are false and dedicated by selected media ‘s opinion and point of view .
They considered that the participation of Australian “fighters” and killing or arresting other Australian nationals is a sufficient evidence to change the public opinion, which the Australian delegation , will work on by providing data and documents confirming the involvement of Australians in fighting on the Syrian territory. .
The delegation includes Australian and of Arab descent activists , members in the, ” Hands off Syria ” movement in addition to academics , media and party figures.
