A British researcher in history enriches his academic research by studying successive civilizations in Syria

Daraa (ST): “Every research in history that does not include Syria is incomplete and cannot be written down.” With this saying, the British researcher in the field of history, Daniel Yang, began his speech about his visit to the archaeological and historical monuments in Syria. He indicated that he is preparing for a master’s thesis in history in his country, and he wanted the East to be part of his study, especially Syria a it si the home of successive Phoenician, Sumerian, Roman and other civilizations, leading to the Arab civilization.

During his visit to the ancient city of Bosra Al-Sham, the young researcher confirmed in a statement to SANA news reporter that every Syrian archaeological area has a story of love with the history of nations and visiting Syria’s antiquities takes months, so that the researcher can form the first building block for his research on history, indicating that what he saw during his tour of Aleppo, Hama and Homs all the way to Damascus and Bosra Al-Sham confirms the greatness of this country throughout history, and explains why it is targeted at present.

Researcher Yang pointed out that when he was planning to visit Syria, he received many warnings, but he found the opposite of this bleak picture, as he saw “a wonderful people who deserve life and smile despite their harsh conditions.” He said: “It is wonderful to see the archaeological structure in Syria and the beauty of historical places. The Roman theater in Bosra has a story that I cannot finish telling of engineering architecture, and beauty that captures minds. I honestly say: I did not expect what I saw.

Yang expressed his shock and sorrow at the scenes of destruction caused by terrorism to the monuments, especially in Palmyra, apart from the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure, wishing Syria to have the ability to overcome the ordeal imposed on it.
