Prospects of cooperation reviewed between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Italian organization INTERSOS

The meeting held in Thursday by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Louay Al-Munajjid, with the head of the mission of the Italian INTERSOS organization, Pietro Capuruso, focused on areas of cooperation between the two sides, and ways to develop them in the fields of vocational training, protection and psychological support.

 Al-Munajjid stressed during the meeting the need to strengthen the partnership base to include various sectors through technical meetings between the two sides, develop cooperation mechanisms and identify partners from non-governmental organizations.

He pointed to the need to conduct joint tours to measure the impact of the implemented programs and submit periodic reports on them, noting the possibility of benefiting from the rural development centers affiliated with the Ministry to work on their rehabilitation to serve the areas in which they are spread.

For his part, the head of the mission, Capurusu, referred to the services provided by the organization in Syria in cooperation with various parties, pointing to the need to expand the base of partnership with the ministry in a way that will benefit the targeted regions and segments.

It is noteworthy that INTERSOS is an Italian non-profit humanitarian aid organization founded in 1992, working to provide assistance to people at risk and victims of natural disasters and wars.
