Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The international community’s selectivity in applying the law proves bias toward the occupation

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the selectivity of the international community in applying international law proves the bias toward the Israeli occupation and protects it from punishment.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the bloody incursions of the occupation forces into Palestinian cities, towns and camps, the most recent of which was the storming of the city of Jenin this morning, which resulted in the martyrdom of a Palestinian, and the injury and arrest of others, noting that these attacks are a failed attempt to undermine the Palestinian people’s steadfastness and resistance.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that it will continue its international political, diplomatic and legal action to expose the crimes of the occupation, and mobilize more international positions to push the international community to implement the decisions of international legitimacy regarding the Palestinian cause.

In turn, the Palestinian National Council condemned the crime committed by the occupation forces in Jenin, stating that storming and besieging Palestinian cities and camps, committing executions and field killings, destroying property, assaulting medical personnel, shooting them and preventing them from providing first aid to the injured are war crimes that the international community must take urgent action to stop.

The Council called for the occupation to be held accountable for its crimes before the International Criminal Court, and to break the state of silence, double standards and selectivity in the application of international law and international resolutions on Palestine.
