DAMASCUS, (ST) –”Syria has faultlessly cooperated with the joint mission(OPCW,UN) as it is committed to fulfill its obligations entailed in its accession into the Chemical Weapons Convention, but some countries, including the US, France and Britain and their tools in the region such as Saudi Arabia are working to hamper the implementation of Syria’s obligations, “underscored Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad.
Mikdad’s remark was made during a meeting he held on Thursday with Head of the Joint Mission of the OPCW and UN, Sigrid Kaag.
“Syria government ‘s cooperation has contributed to achieving remarkable progress within the framework of Syria’s commitment through its accession to the Chemical Weapons Convention, “affirmed Kaag.
Kaag expressed confidence that all sides will take into consideration the circumstances going on in Syria when they discuss the issue of Syria’s implementation of the upcoming stages of joint cooperation.
