General Abbas:  Israeli occupation entity is the most prominent factor in threatening the security of the region

Moscow, (ST) – The Minister of Defense, General Ali Mahmoud Abbas affirmed that many countries suffered from the evils of the colonial West, as America and its allies worked by provoking conflicts and supporting terrorist organizations to destroy countries such as Iraq, Libya, Lebanon and Syria, which are still suffering from the aggression of these countries and terrorism for more than 12 years.

General Abbas said during a speech at the 11th Moscow Conference on International Security: We are gathered here today and the world is witnessing an increase in the intensity of disputes and conflicts in different regions. “This matter requires additional effective efforts and serious cooperation to reach the better security situation that we and our people aspire to” he added.

General Abbas said that after the success of our armed forces, with the help of friends, in defeating the aggression and eliminating a large part of terrorism, these countries resorted to waging an economic war and a deadly siege against the Syrian people, and Washington and its allies are still insisting on supporting this terrorism.

General Abbas pointed out that the American-Western coalition occupies important areas in Syria and steals the wealth and capabilities of our people and supports terrorism and separatist militias that serve its colonial goals and agendas. He added that the Turkish occupation of parts of Syria and the criminal practices it commits in the areas it occupies represents a flagrant violation of international covenants and norms and a blatant attack on a sovereign and independent country.

General Abbas stated that the Israeli occupation entity constitutes the most prominent factor in threatening the security and stability of the region. “This occupation is an essential partner for the United States in its aggressions against the region”, he added.

General Abbas thanked the Russian Federation and all the active and influential countries for their great efforts in the context of confronting global threats and risks, especially the aggressive American policies and attempts to monopolize the international decision.
