Settler gangs’ terrorism against Palestinians is escalating

Terrorism of Israeli settlers’ gangs against Palestinians is escalating with the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, amid the silence of the international community that ignores the ongoing Palestinian calls to put these gangs on the lists of international terrorism.

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)’s National Office for the Defense of the Earth and the Resistance indicated in a report published today on its website that the crimes of the settlers are to storm and seize the lands, sabotage of property, and killing the Palestinians in an increase, under the incitement of the minister in the occupation government, Itetar bin Ghafir, who demanded in June to increase the arming of the settlers to escalate their crimes.

The report indicated that the settlers stormed several neighborhoods in Jerusalem, assaulted the Palestinians, and destroyed agricultural crops for them in the village of Al -Tawana, south of Hebron, and the drinking water network in the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, and demolished a facility in the KhalaMakhoul area in the northern Jordan Valley, and they seized a water well in the Ras area Aqaba, northeast of Ramallah.

The report pointed out that the outposts deployed in the West Bank constitutes a starting point for terrorist settlers’ gangs, to expand their crimes against the Palestinians.

The report said that recent years witnessed a significant increase in the number of these outposts, as their number in 2015 reached about 125 outpostsdistributed over 40 In Nablus and 25 in Ramallah and Al -Bireh, 15 in Jerusalem, the rest in Hebron, Bethlehem and other areas in the West Bank, while last year their number exceeded 200 settlements distributed along the area of the West Bank.

The report pointed out that in parallel with the expansion of the establishment of settlement outposts, the occupation rose the practices of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians and preventing them from urban expansion, as 800 homes and facilities were demolished during the past year and the first half of this year.

The report indicated that the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) documented the exposure of the Palestinians during the first half of this year to about 600 attacks from the settlers resulted in casualties between them, and damage to their property.
