Damascus (ST): The National Earthquake Center announced the registration of 10 weak and medium-intensity earthquakes during the past 24 hours.
The Center said in a statement that the stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network recorded 10 earthquakes, including: an earthquake 22km southwest Tartous at a magnitude of 1.7 on the Richter scale, an earthquake 112km west of Tartous at a magnitude of 2.0, and an earthquake east of Tartous at a magnitude of 3.3, and an earthquake in eastern Turkey, 187km north of Hasakeh, at a magnitude of 4.1, and a severe earthquake in eastern Turkey, 280km northeast of Aleppo, at a magnitude of 5.2.
The Center added that an earthquake 237 northwest of Cyprus was recorded at a magnitude of 4.1, an earthquake 21 kilometers southwest of Palmyra at a magnitude of 2.4, an earthquake 109 kilometers west and southwest of Lattakia at a magnitude of 2.1, and an earthquake 54 kilometers northwest of Idlib measured at magnitude 2.2 on the Richter scale.
