75 students from the Distinction and Creativity Agency to participate in recreational camp in Belarus

Damascus, (ST) – A Syrian delegation of 75 students  from the Distinction and Creativity Agency, in addition to 6 supervisor, will leave Syria to the Republic of Belarus in order to participate in a recreational health camp.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Louay Al-Munajjid, in a speech during his meeting with the departing students, stressed the importance of the camp in getting to know the culture of the Belarusian people, benefiting from the experiences they have, and acquiring new skills, especially after the war that the Syrian people have been exposed to.

The Minister said that the aim of these camps is to enhance the experiences and enriching the knowledge of Syrian children, and to strengthen the strong friendship between Syria and Belarus.

For her part, Director of the Science Olympiad at the Distinction and Creativity Agency, Leen Qassem said that the selection of distinguished students is carried out according to a set of criteria. She indicated that the Olympiad programs are diverse, and they include a number of competitions and debates that contribute to discovering distinguished talents, and securing the appropriate environment that helps students complete their academic achievement.

A number of the participating children in the camp pointed to the importance of the camp in terms of learning about the customs, traditions and heritage of the Belarusian people.

Qais Muhammad Al-Kasih, a robot specialist who won first place in the Robot Olympiad last year said that the experience will be fun and important in communicating with the people of another country, and learning about the cultures that exist in it.

The student Hassan Hamdan pointed out that the participation in the camp will play a major role in developing new friendships with Belarusian children.

It is noteworthy that the “Zubronak recreational health camp” comes within the framework of the humanitarian initiative launched by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko under the title “From Heart to Heart”, which aims to assist the Syrian children, who have suffered as a result of the terrorist war and the repercussions of the economic sanctions imposed on their country through providing health care as well as holding recreational, educational and sport activities for them.
