Russian Embassy in Lebanon: The West tries to prevent reconstruction in Syria

Beirut, (ST) – The Russian Embassy in Lebanon affirmed that Western countries, led by the United States, are trying to prevent reconstruction in Syria, and seek to create tension in the world.

The embassy said in a statement on Wednesday: Fearing competition, the West is trying to impede the development of other countries, “therefore, it seeks to create various problems and tension in the world,” it added.

The statement indicated that the West, under various pretexts, is preventing the reconstruction of Syria, trying to keep it in a state of permanent bleeding and long struggle against international terrorism.

The statement pointed out that the system adopted by the ruling elites in the West does not allow them to abandon the false idea of their superiority over the rest of the peoples, and according to Western type, the modern world is a new colonial system or a new slave system.

In a related context, the statement said that the aggressive expansion of NATO and the hybrid war against Russia under baseless accusations of creating a global food crisis, which is also one of the manifestations of neo-colonialism schemes.
