President al-Assad issues a decree naming Dr. Muhammad Amer Mardini as Minister of Education

Damascus, (ST) – President Bashar Al-Assad on Tuesday issued Decree No. 206 of 2023, which stipulates the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Amer Mardini as Minister of Education.

Dr. Muhammad Amer Mardini was the Minister of Higher Education between 2014-2018, Rector of Damascus University and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Damascus University among other posts

He has won the Al-Basil Prize for the best research project and has several contributions in many scientific societies and bodies. He also published scientific books, nonfiction books, and about 55 scientific papers published in many scientific journals.
