Master of the Universe International Bodybuilding Championship concludes its competitions, with the participation of 200 players

After strong competitions that lasted for two days, the first Master of the Universe International Bodybuilding Championship was concluded yesterday in the Sahara Complex in the countryside of Damascus, with the participation of 200 players, in the presence of game experts from several countries, including the Vice President of the International Federation of the game Adel Fahim.

In the body building competition for the Master category, Alaa Al-Naeb won in the over 90 kg weight category, Efrem Afrem won in the under 90 kg weight category, and Wael Al-Samkari won in the over 80 kg weight category within the age group between 40-44 years.

While, within the age group between 45-49 years old, Ehab Hashem won in the over 70 kg weight category, Othman Hajjo won in under 70 kg weight category.

For the age group between 50-54 years old, the winner was Yasser Badoor, while for the 55-year-old age the winner was Hussein Hassan.

The Iraqi Zuhair Al-Mahmoudi made it for the over 65 kg category, while the rest of the winnings went to Muhammad Bashir Fares over 70 kg, Ibrahim Ismail over 75 kg, Othman Hajjo over 80 kg, Iraqi Ahmed Ali Al-Zarfi over 85 kg, Alaa Al-Nabeb over 90 kg, Jamil Assal over 95 kg, and Osama Al-Othman for the above 100 kg, finally it was Jaafar Zahraa for the under 100 kg.

Whereas Talal Abu Assi, Hummam Dadoush and Abdel-Wahhab Abu Dakak got the first place in the Classic Body Building competition, respectively, for heights above 168 cm, 171 cm and under 171 cm.

In the Physics Classic competition, Nizar Wehbe won for the under 180 cm category, Abd al-Rahman Kharouf won for the over 168 cm category, while it was Raymond Turkmani for over 171 cm, Tawfiq Abboud over 175 cm and finally the Iraqi Nawaf Shahib over 180 cm, who also won the lead in the youth category of this competition.

As for the Physics competition, it was concluded for lengths above 173, 176, 179 and 182 cm for the same competition, with the victory of Ali Hassan and Muhammad Abu Zink, and the Iraqis Mustafa Al-Aziz and Ali Muhammad Nasser Al-Ahmad, respectively. In the end it was  Asif Al-Saleh who won the category under 182 cm.

Vice President of the International Body Building Federation, Dr. Adel Fahim, referred in a statement to SANA News Agency to the distinguished arrangement made by the Master of the Universe Championship in its first edition at all levels, also the remarkable technical levels of the players, indicating that the International Federation chose Syria to hold this tournament due to its distinguished position on the sports map.

Fahim also pointed out that the Championship is the beginning of organizing other international tournaments and championships during the coming period, under the supervision of the International Federation.

Manar Haikal, President of the Body Building Federation, explained that the championship represented a quantum leap in our sport, not only that but it also motivated the players to persevere more in the coming period.

In the end, a number of the participating Arab players expressed their happiness to compete in an international championship organized for the first time in Syria under the supervision of the International Federation of Bodybuilding.
