On August 6th, the permanent representative of Palestine to the United Nations Riyad Mansour called on the Security Council to assume full responsibilities as to stop the Israeli occupation’s continuous crimes against Palestinian children and youth.
Mansour referred in messages to the Secretary -General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council and the President of the General Assembly that Palestinian children and youth were subjected to killing and detention crimes by the occupation authorities and settler terrorist organizations.
He explained that the occupation government is pursuing the policy of confiscating the bodies of the Palestinians, including children who are martyred on the Palestinian soil.
He pointed out that the occupation continues to hold the bodies of 14 Palestinian children.
On the Israeli settlement expansion, Mansour indicated that many Palestinian villages continue to be exposed to attacks by settlers and occupation forces that aim at seizing lands, displacing the Palestinians and demolishing their homes
He stressed the importance of providing the protection, that is granted to all civilians under international humanitarian law and United Nations resolutions, to the Palestinian people.
He called for taking necessary measures to ensure the safety of the Palestinians in the occupied territories.
