JCI nominates Syrian expatriate Mohamed Essam Mahoo for World’s Most Outstanding Young Persons Award
The Junior Chamber International organization has selected Syrian expatriate lecturer, Dr. Mohamed Essam Mahoo, to be among the twenty candidates to win the world’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award for the year 2023; in the category of achievement and personal development.
In a statement to SANA, Dr. Mahoo explained that his success in reaching this stage came after several qualifiers for candidates from a hundred countries having branches of the Junior Chamber International, including ten candidates nominated by the Junior Chambers in Syria, out of dozens of applicants.
As for the nomination mechanism, Dr. Mahoo explained that it depends on the selection of local chambers of Arab and foreign countries for ten candidates at the national level, and then twenty candidates are selected from the total candidates globally by specialized international committees.
In the final phase, Dr. Mahoo stated, the final qualifier of the 20 is done by voting by the public through the World Junior Chamber’s International Voting Site, pointing out that voting is currently underway and candidates need support to reach the ten winners.
Dr. Mohamed Essam Mahoo is the advisor to the president of the Union of Arab Creators and the Education Officer of the Union of Arab Media Professionals. He has previously won the Dubai Human Resources Awards and the Educational Oscar and was a gold winner of the Arab improvisation championship within the International Toastmaster Award held in the Sultanate of Oman and the Beirut Arab University Award.
It is worth mentioning that the voting for the twenty candidates ends on the seventh of this August, and the results will be announced later, according to the website of the Junior Chamber International.
