Iraqi forces launched new security operation to eliminate ISIS remnants
The Iraqi Security Media Cell on Saturday announced the launching of a major security operation against the remnants of ISIS terrorist organization in several provinces in Iraq.
The Iraqi news Agency, quoted the Iraqi Security Media Cell as saying in a statement that the operation aims at chasing up the remaining terrorists and outlaws and at consolidating security and stability and at protecting electric power towers.
The operation is carried out under the supervision of the joint operation commands in Nineveh, Salah Eddin and Al-Jazira areas, the statement added.
The statement pointed out that the operation includes clearing the areas of Jaziret Al-Hadar, Wadi Al-Tharthar and the villages located east of Wadi Al-Tharthar and west of Nineveh, stressing that the security forces will be be on high alert to confront anyone who seek undermining security and stability.
