Sweida (ST): The Al-Arabi Club Refresher Open Chess Championship competitions concluded, with the participation of 43 players of different ages.

Player Samih Hamed won first place, followed by Tariq Abu Assaf, then Basil Al Assafin and Naseem Al Shofi.

The head of the technical committee for chess in the governorate, Rifaat Khader, explained in a statement that the tournament was held in the Swiss league manner, consisting of seven rounds, and witnessed the participation of a number of the governorate’s champions, veteran and ranked players, and financial prizes were allocated to the winners.
