Student Nima Rajoub is Syria’s champion in the Arab Reading Challenge

Damascus (ST): The Arab Reading Challenge initiative announced the names of the top ten students and the top three with disabilities, the best school and the best coordinator at the level of Syria in the seventh session, during a closing ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

The first place was won by the student Nima Rajoub from the governorate of Homs, who will represent Syria in the competition for the title of the Champion of the Arab Reading Challenge in the United Arab Emirates, while the second place was won by the student Hassan Al-Mousa from the governorate of Aleppo, and the third place by the student Dana Al-Saqr from the Quneitra governorate, and the fourth place by the student Shaden Darwish from Sweida Governorate, in the fifth place, the student Jana Abu Fakhr from the Governorate of Damascus Countryside won the sixth place, the student Sham Abdullah from the Governorate of Lattakia, and in the seventh place the student Elaf Hameed from Deir Ezzor governorate won the eighth place, and the student Roaa Idris from the governorate of Damascus Countrydside won the eighth place, and the ninth place the student Lujain Al-Khaled from Damascus Countryside Governorate, while the tenth place was won by the student Jude Abdul-Karim Rumaid from Hasakeh Governorate.

In the category of people with disabilities, the student Haifa Adwani from Aleppo won first place, and she will also represent Syria in the competition for the prize for people with disabilities with a challenge at the level of the Arab world, while second place went to the student Omar Al-Sayed Omar from Homs governorate, and the third place went to the student Nihad Najeeb from Lattakia governorate.

Subhi Daya School in Aleppo Governorate won the best-distinguished school in Syria, and the coordinator Shatha Sabbagh from Hama Governorate won the best coordinator of the competition in Syria.

The closing ceremony included a documentary promo on the stages of the Arab Reading Challenge competition in Syria in the seventh season, artistic performances by the “Qaseed” Orchestra led by Maestro Kamal Skaiker, and other artistic dances by the Julnar Dance Theater Ensemble, entitled Convoys of Civilization directed by the artist Ali Hamdan, reflecting the importance of Arab civilization.

The Minister of Education Darem Tabaa explained in a speech that the seventh session of the Arab Reading Challenge at the level of Syria was marked by the wide participation of male and female students, which confirms the great position that this initiative enjoys and the appreciation we have for the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation.
