Syrian-Iranian talks in Tehran on cooperation in the field of communications and information technology
On August 2nd, the Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al -Khatib, discussed with the managers of the Iranian cellular telecommunications company MCI, joint cooperation in the field of communications and information technology, in the context of the discussions held by the Syrian government delegation with the Iranian side for the fourth consecutive day to expand relations between the two countries in the economic field, including communications.
During the meeting, Minister Al -Khatib reviewed the governance systems adopted by the company, its network performance monitoring systems, its manufacture for applications and electronic platforms, social media services, virtual education and electronic correspondence provided to its subscribers through the applications that produce it.
Minister Al -Khatib also visited the Iranian Space Research Center and reviewed the devices, satellites and electronic maps and how to analyze space data.
Minister Al -Khatib pointed to the preparations that the ministry is conducting to send a number of workers in the Syrian General Commission for Remote Sensing, who specialize in Space Sciences, to prepare a memorandum of understanding between the Commission for Remote Sensing and the Iranian Space Research Center with the aim of achieving the maximum benefit from Iranian experiences in this field.
The Syrian and Iranian sides stressed the importance of implementing the agreement signed recently in Damascus between the two countries in the field of space.
