3 separate fires in Al-Qanara, Al-Sakhaba and Zama in Lattakia countryside extinguished

Lattakia (ST): Members of the Lattakia Fire Brigade and the Jableh Haraj Division put out 3 fires that broke out today in Al-Qanjara, north of Lattakia, and in Al-Sakhaba and Zama, in the countryside of Jableh.

The commander of the Fire Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Muhannad Jaafar, said in a statement to news reporter that the members of the regiment quickly went to the site of the fire, next to the al-Maghrit town junction, near the al-Qanjara dam, north of Lattakia, and were able to control the fire, put it out and start the cooling process at the site.

In turn, the head of the Jableh Forestry Division, Eng. Ibrahim Ahmed, said in a statement to news reporter that a fire broke out in agricultural lands in the vicinity of Al-Sakhaba town in Jableh countryside, destroying an area ranging between 8 and 10 dunums of agricultural land.
