For the fourth day, firefighting teams are struggling to control fires in the northern countryside of Lattakia

Lattakia (ST): For the fourth day in a row, the efforts of the firefighting teams are continuing to control the fires that broke out in many forests and lands in the northern countryside of Lattakia, amid a state of  full alertness of the cadres deployed in the work sites and field follow-up by the concerned authorities.

Civil defense teams, the Directorate of Agriculture and firefighting brigades from several governorates, supported by units of the Syrian Arab Army and helicopters, participate in extinguishing the fires.

In the context of field follow-up, the Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, and Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Eng. Mohamed Hassan Qatana, inspected the firefighting operations at the sites of Al-Tuffahiya and Beit Awan in Rabia district in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
