Firefighting teams control fires in the southern and southwestern sides of the northern countryside of Lattakia

For the third day in a row, the firefighting teams continue their efforts to put out the fires that broke out in the forests of the northern countryside of Lattakia. This is while the teams continue the operations of cooling the burned areas in order to prevent the outbreak of fire again.

Head of the Forest Protection Center in Lattakia countryside stated that the firefighting teams worked to contain the fires that moved from one location to another, and that work is underway to separate the green lands from the burnt ones in order to ensure that the fires do not spread.

The firefighters controlled the fires in the sites of Ain al-Zarqa, the shrine of Sheikh Abd al-Razzaq, Mazraat Beit Swehli, Solas, Khirbet Solas, and al-Nahr al-Aswad located in the southern and southwestern side of the northern Lattakia countryside, while cooling operations were underway in adjacent sites.

Sources indicated that all capabilities and mechanisms have been deployed to control the dangers of the spread of fires in the areas of Beit Awan, Al-Tuffahiya and Balouran Al-Shaqra.
