Protest in Al-Boukamal city in Deir Ezzor against the illegal presence of US forces in the Syrian Al-Jazira region

Deir Ezzor – Dignitaries and leaders of Arab tribes and clans in the Euphrates basin area on Thursday organized a protest in the Syrian city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, against the illegal presence of US occupation forces in the Syrian Al-Jazira region and voiced their support for the Syrian Arab Army.

Participants in the protest emphasized the importance of national cohesion in the battle to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and national unity. They affirmed their adherence to national principles and to Syria’s sovereignty over all of its soil.

In a final statement, the participants stressed their adherence to confronting all attempts of aggression and division, their insistance on the unity and the sovereignty of the Syrian state over all its territory, their support for the Syrian Arab Army in confronting the Takfiri terrorism and separatist groups and in expelling the occupation and in repelling all forms of aggression against Syria.

Leaders of the tribes said that the stand “is a message to the US occupation, saying that Syria is fortified by it army, sons and clans, and it will remain steadfast in the face of the American colonialists and their agents in the region. They asserted that “liberation is coming and the Americans will not have a presence in this region.”
