The Syrian Science Olympiad team won 4 silver and bronze medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad which was organized by Switzerland during the period between 17th and 24th of July with the participation of students from 90 countries.
The Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement to SANA that the two silver medals were won by the students Salma Omran from Homs and Muhammad Ghazal Hamida from Aleppo while the two bronzes were obtained by the students Abdul Qader Hussein from Aleppo and Salman Darwish from Homs.
The Agency pointed out that for the first time in the history of the Syrian participation in the World Olympiads, the students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won 2 silver medals in one competition and on one platform, indicating that the students deserved this result due to their unprecedented achievement and stressing that the Syrians leave their imprints wherever they go.
