The artist Samer Kalo from the city of Qamishli, succeeded in attracting the public’s attention to his artistic creations through distinctive drawings, which he carried out with the help of his artistic team on the walls of the main streets of the city, with the aim of drawing attention to young artists.
Last April, Kalo established a voluntary team of his students that consists of 12 artists and is called the “Orchid Team”.
The artist Kalo said in a statement to SANA reporter that the artworks, which began to be implemented in the streets of the city of Qamishli and the Farah Center for children who have cancer in the city of Ma’badah, enable the young drawing enthusiasts to leave a new and distinctive artistic imprint in the city. He noted that a series of works will be implemented soon under the title “Extra Cuteness”. All these creative works bear the imprint of the “Orchid” artistic team.
Kalo pointed out that his recent voluntary painting initiatives on the walls of the city succeeded in presenting humanitarian works of art, aiming to highlight the importance of art and the beauty of the city of Qamishli.
The artist, Kalo, was born in 1989. He works as a teacher of free drawing and architecture at the “Hanza” educational center in Qamishli, and he has his own studio in the Al-Hilalia neighborhood.
