Moscow (ST): Iran’s ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, said that the recent NATO summit aimed at strengthening the so-called hard power of the alliance, and revealed the other side of Western theorists.

The IRNA news agency quoted Jalali as saying at the “New Regional Order… Cooperation between Iran and Russia in Central Asia and the Caucasus” meeting yesterday: The West’s approach at the recent NATO summit was to enhance hard power and strengthen the security character project in the neighboring regions of Russia, China and Iran, and spread fear in the countries of the Central Asia and Caucasus region with the aim of providing the ground for the presence of forces from outside the region in it.

He added, “Some countries and powers are trying to expand their presence in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and around the Caspian Sea by spreading crises.
