In a new racist behavior, the Israeli occupation authorities reduced water supplies to the West Bank cities of Al-Khalil (Hebron) and Bethlehem.
The Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) said in a press statement on Saturday, reported by WAFA News Agency, that the occupation authorities have reduced the quantities of water supplied to the two cities by about 6,000 cups per day, which means depriving the people of their right to get sufficient quantities of water, especially in the light of high temperature.
“There are no technical reasons behind this reduction,” PWA said, adding that no faults were detected in the supplying source, rather the move comes as a discriminatory measure that is added to the racist policies practiced by the occupation authorities against the citizens with the aim of granting the Israeli settlements more quantities of water at the expense of the Palsstinians.
The occupation authorities are working to deprive the Palestinian people of their rights to water, by establishing many settlements on the occupied Palestinian lands, which are rich in water, in order to fully control this important source.
