Two gold medals for Syria in weightlifting

The Syrian weightlifter Maan Asa’ad on Friday won the gold medal in the jerk lift competition at the Arab Games in Algeria.

Asa’ad deserved the gold medal after lifting 225 kg in the jerk competition.

The athlete also won the snatch competition’s gold medal after lifting 175 kg in the first attempt.

Syria has so far won 51 medals in the Arab Games in Algeria.
