Ten medals for Syria on the fifth day of the Arab Sports Games in Algeria 

Algeria (ST) – The Syrian team participating in the Arab Sports Games in Algeria won ten medals on the fifth day of the tournament.

The cycling team started the coronation series by winning the silver medal for the women’s category in the race against the clock held in the Algerian city of Tipaza. In Oran city, Laith Najjar won a gold medal in floor movement in gymnastics, and Alexandra Maximova won the gold medal in the multi-height jumper and the silver medal in the vault.

Swimmer Omar Abbas won the silver medal in the 100-meter freestyle, and Osama Traboulsi won the bronze medal in the 400-meter medley.

In the city of Constantine, the chess team won a silver medal and a bronze medal.

In the capital Algiers, the players Mohamed Fawaz and Mohamed Al-Obeid won the bronze medals in Romanian wrestling.

In boxing, boxer Ahmed Ghosoun achieved his second victory over the Jordanian champion, to approach the podium, and boxer Hussein Al-Masry defeated the Saudi champion.

It is noteworthy that our teams have achieved twenty-five medals so far, eight golds, seven silvers and ten bronzes.
