Cairo (ST): Egypt announced its plan to host a summit of Sudan’s neighboring countries on the 13th of July to discuss ways to reach a peaceful settlement to the current conflict in this country.
A statement published on the Egyptian Presidency’s website yesterday said: “In light of the current crisis in Sudan, and out of keenness to formulate a common vision for neighboring countries and take steps to solve the crisis, spare the blood of the Sudanese people and spare them the negative effects they are exposed to, preserve the Sudanese state and its capabilities, and limit the continuity of the grave effects of the crisis on the neighboring countries and the security and stability of the region as a whole, on the 13th of July, Egypt will host the summit of Sudan’s neighboring countries.
