Tashkent (ST): Preliminary results showed that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev won the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan by 87.05 percent.
According to the Russia Today website, the Central Elections Committee stated that the voter turnout reached 79.8 percent.
Four candidates ran in the electoral race: the current president of the Liberal Democratic Party, Ulugbek Anaytov of the Democratic People’s Party, Rabakhan Mahmudova of the Democratic Justice Party, and Abdu Shukr Hamzayov of the Uzbek Environment Party.
