Syrian Olympic team qualifies for the semi-finals of the Arab football competition in the Arab Games in Algeria 

On July 8th, Syria’s Olympic team qualified for the semi-finals of the football competition in the Arab Games held in Algeria after beating the Mauritania team 4-2 at the end of the group stage.

The players of the Syrian team Mardik Mardikian, Mohamed Rehana and Hosan Othman scored the goals, leading the Syrian team to the top of the second group.

During the group stage, the Syrian team tied with its Palestinian counterpart 0-0 and with its Saudi counterpart 1-1.

In the next round, the Syrian team will play against winner of the second position in the first group.
