Egypt on Monday condemned the Israeli occupation attack on the West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, which led to the martyrdom of seven people and the injury of dozens.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry affirmed in a statement Egypt’s rejection of the repeated Israeli attacks and incursions into Palestinian cities that result in many casualties, as well as the excessive and indiscriminate use of force, and the flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international legitimacy, especially international humanitarian law, which imposes clear obligations on Israel as the occupying power.
According to WAFA news agency, Egypt warned of the danger of the ongoing Israeli escalation against the Palestinians, which leads to fueling the tension, exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people, and undermining the efforts exerted to reduce tension in the occupied territories.
In a related context, the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Naser Kansani, said in his weekly press conference today “the tragic incident which we have witnessed since last night against Jenin, is a criminal act and a clear example of state terrorism practiced by the Zionist entity”. He stressed that the Palestinian people have not committed any crime except defending their natural legitimate rights.
Kanaani stressed that the Palestinians will definitely defeat the Zionists calling on the international community to act immediately to stop the Israeli acts of ggression on the occupied Palestinian territories.
