Al-Mikdad, Al-Safadi discuss creating suitable environment for the return of Syrian refugees

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Monday met with the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and the accompanying delegation.

The two sides affirmed that Syria and Jordan are linked to one geographic area, common interests and they both seek seeing stability and security prevailing in the entire Arab region.

The war, which was launched on Syria led to many problems in the entire region

and its vicinity, and Syria is making consultations with brothers in Jordan about a number of issues, including the refugees file,” Mikdad said.

He added that every Syrian around the world has the right to return to the homeland and he or she is welcomed.

For his part, Al-Safadi said that efforts aiming at reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria, tackling all its humanitarian, security and political repercussions, guaranteeing Syria’s unity and territorial integrity, and achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people, in a way that rescues them from terrorism and creates conditions that allow the voluntary return of Syrian refugees.
