Israeli occupation attacks Palestinians for confronting settlers’ attempt to take over water spring near Nablus

The Israeli occupation forces on Saturday attacked Palestinians in the village of Qaryout to the south of Nablus for fending off an Israeli settlers’ incursion into a water spring in the village.

Eyewitnesses told WAFA News Agency that settlers stormed an area to the west of the village of Qaryout in an attempt to take over the spring under the protection of the occupation forces.

Residents rushed to the area to fend off the settlers’ attempt but were attacked by Israeli forces with tear gas canisters, causing suffocation to several people.

This isn’t the first such attempt by settlers to take over the spring, according to WAFA.

Israeli settlers attack Palestinian farmers in Salfit

Meantime, extremist Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farmers today while they were working in their own lands in the town of Kafr Al-Dik, in the occupied West Bank city of Salfit.

According to local sources, armed Israeli settlers brutally assaulted the Palestinians, raided their agricultural lands on the outskirts of the town and opened fire on them, preventing them from completing their work in their lands.
