Damascus (ST): The National Earthquake Center announced that the monitoring stations recorded 9 earthquakes during the past 24 hours.
The Center said in a statement that the stations of the national seismic monitoring network recorded, from yesterday evening until 7:15 am were 9 earthquakes, including 6 in Turkey, ranging in intensity between 2.5 and 3.5 degrees on the Richter scale, and two in the northern Iskenderun(Alexandretta) province, west of Idlib, 54 km and 56 km, respectively, with an extent of 2.4 and 2 degrees.
The Center also recorded an earthquake on the Syrian-Turkish border, northwest of Aleppo, at a distance of 65 km, with a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale.
