Syrian-Pakistani talks on enhancing industrial cooperation

DAMASCUS, Jun.27, (ST)- Today, Chairman of the Damascus Chamber of Industry , Ghazwan Al-Masri, discussed with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Syria, Shahid Akhtar, ways of enhancing and developing industrial cooperation between both countries.

During the meeting, which was held at the Chamber’s headquarters in Damascus, Al-Masri stressed that the chamber is ready for cooperation with the Pakistani side, and for facilitating communication between businessmen and industrialists in both countries , as well as providing all necessary measures for developing economic relations in a way that reflects positively on the interest of the two peoples.
Al-Masri in addition showed appreciation for Pakistan’s support to Syria and its just issues.
For his part, Ambassador Akhter, said that the aim of the meeting is to discuss issues related to development of industrial and commercial cooperation and the establishment of partnerships and joint investments between the two countries, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency ( SANA).

He referred to the possibility of benefiting from the progress achieved by his country in manufacturing medicines, medical materials and surgical tools, including dental ones, in addition to agricultural tools, equipment, heavy machinery and sport equipment.
