Damascus Countryside (ST): With the participation of more than 32 women and craftsmen, the charity bazaar organized by the Syriana Women’s Forum under the title “Creative Touches 3” kicked off on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, in the Evangelical Church in Al-Nabek.
The bazaar, which lasts for three days, includes heritage, craft, food, clothing, and gifts manufactured by women who underwent training and were able to establish their own micro-enterprises that helped them support their families and improve their economic situation.
The director of the Syriana Women’s Forum, Yasmin Ainiya, explained in a statement to news reporter that this bazaar is the third that the forum holds, and it includes, in addition to women craftsmen from different regions of Qalamoun and expatriates from Damascus and Hasakeh. She added that it aims to market and publish products for women and men who own crafts to support them and market their products, referring that the bazaar is accompanied by children’s drawing works.
The bazaar coordinator and responsible for the economic aspect of the Syriana Forum, Nermin El-Baradei, indicated that the forum is concerned with teaching women who wish to form their own projects on how to make candles and soap, recycle cloth and make crochet, to empower them economically and improve their living conditions.
