At the conclusion of its 9th regular session, the People’s Assembly salutes the steadfastness of the people in occupied Syrian Golan

The People’s Assembly held its 20th concluding session of its 9th regular session of the third legislative term, headed by Hamouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Assembly.

In his speech, Sabbagh emphasized that the heroic resistance shown by people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan in the face of Zionist settlement projects, the latest of which is the giant wind turbines project that the Israeli occupation is trying to impose on the citizens of Golan, confirms that the Golan is Syrian in passion, identity and belonging, and that the Golan is an integral part of the Syrian Arab land.

“Our people in the Golan, with their adherence to and pride in their national identity, stress their steadfastness in the face of the barbarism of the usurping entity and their rejection of the Israeli aggressive decisions and practices,” Sabbagh said.

He saluted the steadfast people in the occupied Golan and the soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army who promise to continue confronting all the aggressors with determination and competence under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
In turn, the members of the Assembly appreciated the steadfastness of the people of the Golan and their standing in the face of the aggressive and racist practices of the Israeli occupation entity which constitute a flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy, especially UN Security Council Resolution No. 497 of 1981.

In his speech at the conclusion of the work of the ninth regular session, Sabbagh commended the work that was accomplished during the past sessions which meets the needs and aspirations of the Syrian people.

On behalf of the Assembly, Sabbagh saluted the souls of the righteous martyrs and saluted the men of the Syrian Arab Army.
