The Secretary General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity discusses preparations for the 58th session of the Arab Federations in Damascus

On June 21st, the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity Mohammadi Ahmed Al-Nai and the heads of the specialized Arab federations, the federation’s general secretaries and their representatives, and heads of the regional offices affiliated to the Arab federations operating in Syria,  discussed preparations for the meeting of the 58th session of the qualitative Arab Federations that will be held in Syria next November.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Arab Federation of Productive Families and Craft and Traditional Industries in Damascus,

The participants in the meeting discussed means of providing the needs of the unions and offices operating in Syria to advance their work, and ways of finding a common vision that supports cooperation among them. They also discussed issues that will be raised during the investment conference which will be held in parallel with the meetings of the 58th session of the Arab Federations in Damascus.

In a statement to the media after the meeting, Al-Nai noted the importance of the conference and the need for good preparation for the 58th session of qualitative Arab Federations and the parallel investment conference.

He also referred to the need to achieve qualitative results from the conference that will reflect on investment in Syria and the development of the agricultural and industrial productive sectors through cooperation among these federations, including private companies.

For his part, the Chaimran of the Arab Federation of Productive Families and Crafts and Traditional Industries, Muhammad Abdel Basset Kadah, indicated that the proposals presented by the participants in the meeting unanimously agreed on the need to develop an integrated plan of action between the unions and offices operating in Syria.

The Council of Arab Economic Unity unanimously agreed during the 57th meeting of the Unity Council, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on the 28th of last May, to hold the upcoming 58th session of its specialized Arab federations in Syria, in response to the request of the Arab Federation of Productive Families and Craft and Traditional Industries.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Mohammadi Ahmad al-Nai, began his visit to Damascus yesterday.
