Citizens in Quneitra and Golan organize a protest against the occupation attacks on the people in the occupied Syrian Golan

Occupied Golan, (ST) – The people in Quneitra and the occupied Syrian Golan organized a protest stand denouncing the attacks by the occupation forces on the people in the occupied Syrian Golan. These attacks aim at seizing more lands that belong to the people in Golan.

Participants in the stand organized by the leadership of the Quneitra branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in front of the branch’s headquarters in Al-Baath City affirmed their solidarity with the people in the occupied Golan who are standing up with their faith to the oppression of the Israeli occupation forces.

They renewed their confidence in the inevitability of liberating the occupied territory, and the return of Golan to the Syrian sovereignty.

In statements to SANA reporter, the participants in the stand praised the heroism of the people of the occupied Golan, their patriotic stances and their adherence to the land.

The Head of the Committee of Syrian Detainees in the Occupation Prisons, Ali Al-Younes, who is a liberated prisoner, called on the international community and human rights organizations to move and pressure the occupation authorities to stop their expansionist settlement scheme that confiscates agricultural lands from their real owners in favor of building wind turbines on their lands.

In turn, Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Taweel, from the town of Hadr saluted the people in Majdal Shams, Baqatha, Masada and Ain Quniyah, who wrote and are still writing the greatest epics of heroism, belonging to the homeland.

For his part, a member of the leadership of the Quneitra branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Jassem Al-Saleh affirmed that the Israeli measures are invalid and aggressive, and aim to steal and confiscate the lands of farmers in the occupied Golan. He called on the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations to put an end to Israeli practices and obligate “Israel” to the Fourth Geneva Convention relating to the treatment of civilians under occupation.
