Syria condemns Israeli occupation’s massacre against Palestinians in Jenin

DAMASCUS, Jun.20, (ST)- Syria has condemned the massacre that was committed yesterday by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians in the city of Jenin and its camp in the West Bank , stressing that the criminal practices of the occupation will only be met with more adherence of the Palestinians to their rights, mainly the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on its Twitter today: “In recent weeks, the criminal practices of the Israeli occupation have escalated in the occupied Palestinian territories, the most recent of which was the massacre it committed in the city of Jenin and its camp yesterday, which led to the martyrdom and injury of about 100 Palestinians.”

The Foreign stresses that Jenin camp represents the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and at the same time showsthe destruction that the Israeli occupation has repeatedly committed through its crimes against humanity.

It indicated that the continued support of the US and Western countries for the occupation’s crimes, aggressions and violations of international laws is nothing but a call for it to continue this racist approach, despite its serious repercussions on regional and international peace and security.

Yesterday, the Israeli occupation committed a massacre in the city of Jenin and its camp, killing 6 Palestinians, including a child, and wounding 91 others, while the Palestinian resistance confronted the occupation and injured 7 of its soldiers.

Today, the Palestinian resistance carried out a heroic operation in north of Ramallah, killing 4 settlers and wounding 4 others.
