Junior Chamber Commerce in Lattakia launches “Code Trip” project for IT engineering graduates

The Junior Chamber International JCI -Lattakia, has launched  in cooperation with the Syrian Computer  Society ( SCS) branch in Lattakia   the CodeTrip project for IT engineering graduates , which aims to harmonize the outputs of academic  education in the field of IT with the labor market in addition to enable young people to engage in the practical field of the software development market.

The organizing committee of the project in  Lattakia  divided the project into stages  to train young people and develop their skills in the field of IT  .

The project includes professional training under the supervision of specialists and experts through integrating the theoretical and practical aspects to ensure comprehensive and effective learning.

Head  of the Local Board of Directors of the JCI-Lattakia Junior Makhoul  said in a statement to the Syriatimes e-newspaper that  “The Code Trip project will reflect positively on members of the JCI , community and organizations. Through the project, we seek to train people who are capable of being professional leaders and programmers, with regard to the evaluation and follow-up system within our society, in addition to presenting the system to local organizations and companies “.

In turn, Head of the Lattakia branch of the SCS Eng. Maryam Fayoud  said, “The code trip project consists of two parts; The first is a software forum that brings together the launching parties with programmers  and the second is a training field with the aim of organizing  specialized courses and workshops as well as carrying out integrated  software projects”.

She stressed that the SCS branch in Lattakia seeks to enable university graduates to use the latest information technologies and invest them in a practical way for the benefit of the  young generation of information and the Syrian society.

 “Through Code Trip project , we seek to empower young people in the field of software to meet the needs of the labor market, and to develop the evaluation and follow-up process within institutions,” said Rasha Ismail,  the project manager.

She added the project includes specialized training packages in the field of  software under the supervision of professional specialists, to link the evaluation and follow-up system with concerned  organizations and institutions.”
