Sergei Tsevlev, governor of the Russian province of Kemerovo, announced that scientists had found part of the bones of a “Sauropod” , a kind of dinosaur, in the Kuzbass region.
While the Novosti News Agency quoted Tsevlev as saying: “Kuzbass scientists have found a part of a large bone of a herbivorous Sauropod dinosaur at the Shestikovo 3 site, while the preliminary analysis showed that this piece is part of the bone of the dinosaur’s forelimbs, as it is believed that the skeleton most likely fell in at some point in the river, while the bones were scattered along the stream.
Scientists hope to find other parts of the dinosaur’s skeleton at the Shestakovo site, which is the largest and most important dinosaur site in Russia.
