Syrian- Venezuelan Economic Relations Boosted

DAMASCUS,(ST)_  Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade , Dr. Khader Orfali discussed with the Venezuelan ambassador in Damascus Imad Saab, yesterday  ways of activating economic ,trade  and investment relations between Syria and Venezuela and to continue the implementation of agreements signed between the two countries as well as to  give a new impetus for bilateral cooperation with a view to boost growth of these relations and overcome difficulties resulted from  the current crisis .

Orfali  noted, the efforts and attitudes of Venezuela and friendly countries in standing with  Syria under the  current crisis , stressing that the national economy , thanks to Syria ‘s  steadfastness  is challenging  the unjust  global war against it  .

For his part, Ambassador Saab noted the  remarkable development of relations between Syria and Venezuela in all economic , trade and investment  fields, reiterating his country’s stand  with Syria in the face of the  unjust war , and the subsequent unjust economic blockade on the Syrian people .

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade , Dr. Hayan Salman and director of the  Ministry ‘s Arab and international relations Mohammed Canaan.
