Honoring award-winning researchers and inventors of the International Archimedes Exhibition

The Syrian Society for Scientific Research and Publishing, in cooperation with the Future Technology Foundation, honored a number of award-winning researchers and inventors at the Moscow “Archimedes” International Exhibition of Inventions and Technological Innovations, which was held in the Russia last April.

The honoring came after a workshop held by the Society today under the title: “Workshop of Electronics Principles and Applications using Arduino”, at the Foundation’s office in Damascus.  The projects of the honored inventors included “a spiny zirconia implant, a multifunctional thermal condensation device, a thermal injection device, an air fire-extinguishing device, and a device for mechanical fixation of crowns and bridges on dental abutments. The workshop included an introduction to the definition of the “user designer” aimed at facilitating the use of interactive electronics in multidisciplinary projects “Arduino ”.

The workshop also included an introduction to the sensor and actuator connection devices, and a presentation on the equipment used in the Society, to help students complete their graduation projects.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Dr. Hayan Al-Sebaei, stated that the workshop targets students interested in the fields of digital electronics and electronic control applications, and introduces how to make prototypes for graduation projects in universities.

Al-Sebaei pointed out that the number of beneficiaries of the services provided by the Society has reached about 150 male and female students.

In turn, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Future Technology Foundation, Bashar Halawa, pointed out that the Foundation focuses its work on supporting technical engineering sciences through innovative and modern initiatives and projects in cooperation with interested parties and associations.

A number of the honorees expressed their appreciation for the initiators of the award, which reflects the extent of interest in innovators and inventors, and the care for their inventions and creative ideas, leading to their implementation, for the benefit of the country and the citizens.
