Products for small business owners and handicrafts in “Afkar” bazaar in Homs 

The “Afkar” Bazaar in its 7th edition, which opened on June 13th and concludes today, showcased products for owners of small projects, handicrafts, wooden works, medicinal and natural herbal products, handicrafts, sweets of all kinds, candles, accessories, coordinating gifts, designing occasion decorations, and others.

The Bazaar (Afkar) organizer, Nora Al-Rifai, stated that more than 75 small business owners participated in the bazaar, with the aim of supporting anf helping them sell their products, especially those who do not have a special store to display their products.

Sawsan Al-Najjar, one of the participants in the bazaar, says: “She has been working for about twenty years producing handicrafts using embroidery, lace and crochet, in addition to making bags from various threads using the simplest tools of hooks, threads, fabrics, satin ribbons, etc., and she participates in exhibitions constantly.”

While Huda Taqi said: “Her participation for the second time in the bazaar achieved good results for marketing her sweets products”.

In the pavilion of the Charitable Construction Society, the supervisor of the exhibits, Maysa Raslan said: “The Society has three workshops for the production of clothes, embroideries and various woolen pieces woven by women registered in the society, as dozens of women benefit from the workshops, especially the breadwinners for their families.”

The young woman, Israa Al-Shaar, succeeded in transforming some tree trunks into artistic paintings by unleashing her imagination by drawing on them.

From the Cancer Control Association, Mahmoud Daas, the supervisor of the pavilion, says: “The association participates in the bazaar, through a campaign of donations funded by several parties in the governorate, with the aim of supporting cancer children.”

Iktimal Al-Fasih, a graduate of the Teachers Training Institute, invested a lot of industrial and natural combinations present in every home and environment in producing elegant and attention-grabbing paintings, using pebbles, tree trunks, sticks, cloth, buttons, glass, and others.

It is noteworthy that the Bazaar was opened on the 13th of this month, and it will continue for three days.
