Chinese President: We support Palestine’s efforts to become a full member state in the United Nations 

Chinese President Xi Jinping affirmed China’s full support for Palestine’s endeavors to obtain the status of a full member state in the United Nations.

Xinhua quoted Jinping as saying yesterday during his meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Beijing: “China was one of the first countries to recognize the state of Palestine, and it has strongly supported the just cause of the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate national rights and it is working for a comprehensive solution.”

In this regard, Jinping indicated that his country supports Palestine’s endeavors to become a full member state in the United Nations, and will continue to support it in multilateral forums, and will provide assistance in all its power to contribute to alleviating human suffering and rebuilding Palestine.

In turn, Abbas, on behalf of the Palestinian people, thanked China for its long-term and strong support for the just Palestinian cause and for the struggle to restore the Palestinians’ legitimate rights, describing China as a trustworthy friend and partner.
