Raisi: Hegemonic regimes do not recognize the will of peoples

Tehran (ST): Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi affirmed that the system of hegemony that Western countries are trying to impose on the world does not recognize the will of the people, explaining that the experience of the Iranian people has shown that steadfastness and resistance are the only way to confront the enemy.

Raisi said in a speech during a gathering of Venezuelan elites and university students in Caracas: “This regime only seeks to dominate the countries of the world, and they believe that the material resources of the whole world should be used to achieve their goals,” stressing the need not to surrender to the enemy, which intends to plunder all material interests and morale of the people.

Raisi added, “The words of US President Donald Trump clearly showed what the arrogant regime is looking for. He said why we should pay money to Venezuela to buy oil from it,” noting that “America seeks, by destabilizing the situation in Venezuela, to plunder this country’s oil.”
