Al-Mikdad, Ibn Farhan discuss bilateral relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Monday in Riyadh met with Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

 Al-Mikdad conveyed the greetings of President Bashar Al-Assad to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and to Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

 This came during the visit of Minister Al-Mikdad and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the second ministerial meeting of the member states of the League of Arab States with the countries of the Pacific islands.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the relations between the two brotherly countries, ways of enhancing them, and the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two sides on various issues.

Minister Al-Mikdad stressed that the strength of the Syrian-Saudi relations gives us great hope for the future and affirmed the role of the Arab nation in the regional and international arenas to face common challenges.

In turn, Minister Ibn Farhan stressed the importance of Syria’s return to exercising its Arab and regional role and its participation in this ministerial meeting with the Pacific countries.

 Al-Mikdad held several meetings with the heads of delegations of the countries participating in the ministerial meeting of the Arab countries and the countries of the Pacific islands during which he explained the latest regional and international developments and the Syrian position on them.
