Khamenei: If Iran wanted to manufacture nuclear weapons, our enemies would not have been able to prevent it
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, announced that if his country wanted to manufacture nuclear weapons, the enemies would not have been able to prevent it.
He added that there is no problem in signing an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency with a condition that Iran’s nuclear industry is not affected.
During a visit to the Iranian nuclear industry’s achievements exhibition in Imam Khomeini’s Husseiniya, Khamenei said: “Cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency should be maintained within the framework of guarantees.”
He added: “Our failure to manufacture nuclear weapons is not because of our fear of the enemies, but rather because of our belief.”
He indicated that Iran’s enemies created a nuclear challenge for it for twenty years, because they know that movement in the nuclear industry is the key to the country’s scientific progress.
